Raven in Black & White

Model Raven sits pensively on a sofa for a black and white portrait

I have made many photographs of Chicago model Raven in black and white over the years. This set is a collection of just a few favorites Raven and I made one afternoon during one of my Chicago boudoir marathon events.

I often receive requests from clients for contrasty black-and-white boudoir photographs feature deep, rich blacks. It’s a popular look, and it’s one I enjoy creating. I’ve processed the photographs here using a favorite black-and-white conversion method. It produces a high-contrast look with deep blacks. B&W images like this are available during all of my client sessions. Color versions of the images in this gallery can be found here and here.

For the photographers reading, I created this collection using a Leica M10 camera with the 50mm Summicron-M lens (v.5); I made a few with a Fujifilm X100F I also had along that day. I used just available light streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel suite.

Enjoy these photos of Raven in black and white!
