There’s a classic blues tune by the legendary singer Ben Vaughn, called “I Dig Your Wig.” And when model Julie showed up at one of my boudoir marathon events, the song immediately came to mind. You see, along with several awesome lingerie outfits that we planned to shoot over the course of an afternoon, Julie pulled out this simply amazing wig.
“Is there some way we can use this?” she asked. “Which outfit would this best go with?”
My immediate reply, of course, was simply, “Julie, Julie, Julie. For one set of images that wig needs to be your outfit.”
Julie was down. So I pulled up Ben Vaughn’s tune on iTunes, and Julie pulled on the wig. Below are the results.

And for those of you who are more academically inclined, we had to make a few images with Julie’s glasses.
Finally, for the photographers reading, I created the photos in this gallery with a Leica M240 camera. Leica-M 50mm f/1.4 Summilux ASPH and Leica-M 35mm f/2.5 Summarit lenses were used. Lighting was predominantly available light via the hotel suite’s floor-to-ceiling windows, augmented with some 5′ white reflectors in some images.
