In recent days I’ve posted multiple galleries illustrating some of the work I do with clients in holiday-themed boudoir sessions. Here’s another that’s a play on the popular “White Sheet Series” concept. In this concept the photographer photographs the subject nude, in just a white sheet. The photographer places their subject into many different poses to result in a full portfolio or album of white-sheet photographs. Photographer Douglas Kirkland and model Marilyn Monroe made this concept famous with the publication of a 1961 photo session. Marilyn was nude in white sheets, and Kirkland photographed her through a cutaway in the ceiling above her. I’ve described the concept in more detail on my client “About” page, here. I shoot these sessions frequently, as you’ll see if you visit my other galleries. They’re tremendously popular with boudoir models.
In today’s modern boudoir sessions, the sheet of course is adjusted to accommodate the subject/client’s level of comfort with nudity. I have photographed sessions where the client wears the sheet like a turtleneck. And I’ve photographed other sessions where the sheet is on the floor in the first 30 seconds.
So the session I’m sharing today is a similar concept, but I’ll call it the “Holiday Tartan” set. I have model Renee nude except for a red holiday tartan blanket. We added some Christmas lights and tree decorations as props for this session, as well.
I hope you enjoy these images of Renee in her holiday tartan blanket. Also be sure to check out the other holiday galleries I’ve posted recently, here and here.

And for the photographers visiting the site, the photo equipment equipment used for this session is the same as for the other holiday-themed galleries I’ve posted featuring Renee.
