I have photographed Chicago’s Raven Gemini many times over the years. She is among my favorite and most-frequent collaborators for boudoir model galleries. During this session, completed during one of my Chicago boudoir marathon events, we focused on creating available light images using natural sunlight coming into the hotel suite’s floor-to-ceiling windows. I photographed Raven in red lingerie as shown here, as well as in other wardrobe.
For many sessions, I bring in studio lighting for dramatic lighting, but after discovering this particular hotel’s window light situation, I enjoyed shooting with it over multiple days. And I’ve returned here several times. Its natural light options make it simply a lovely space to create boudoir images.
For the photographers visiting the site, I created these photos of Raven in red lingerie with the Leica M10 camera with Leica Summicron-M 50mm f/2 and Voigtlander VM 35mm f/1.4 lenses. I also used the Fujifilm X100F camera.
