model's posed hands and rose petals in bathtub full of milk

A while back I found myself with plans to be in one the hometown of Shae, one of my favorite boudoir models, and we made plans to shoot. We had shot a very-productive boudoir session previously, and decided we wanted to do something a little different. Neither of us had shot a milk bath session before, and we both thought it sounded intriguing. So we gave it a try.

It was an extremely fun evening, and an interesting learning experience. We experimented with some different “ingredients” to shoot in the bath – plain milk and powdered milk, rose petals, food coloring, combinations of rose petals AND food coloring – as well as both lingerie and nude. Next time I shoot a milk bath session there are definitely some things I’d do differently in terms of lighting, but overall I was pretty happy with our results for a first time attempt at this style. And I’m looking forward to another project with Shae.

And here are a few “out takes” or behind-the-scenes images from this fun evening.
